New music streaming service “Tidal” arrives!

Just when you thought there weren’t enough music streaming services…

…the market has just gotten a little more competitive thanks to Tidal!

“Tidal” is a brand new music streaming service from Aspiro (a Scandinavian company) and has just launched today, October 28th, in the US and in the UK!

I’m not going to lie to you, I really like the name! I used to go to the beach all the time back in Florida so it reminds me of the waves 😀

Tidal boasts lossless compression like FLAC and ALAC formats which is geek talk for high-quality music! They are planning to compete with the biggest services:

Tidal’s selling point is high quality music which will be at the premium price of $19.99 per month! Spotify’s premium subscription is half that at $9.99 which may be hard for Tidal to compete with, but I guess the real selling point is quality for whom quality matters the most to.

It’s a new trend in the music market to pay more for higher quality! Just look at Beats Headphones and the Pono Player!

So many millions invested proves that quality is king right now!

I’m sure that “Tidal” will at least have a chance to gobble up some of the market share that Spotify has. They deserve to be put on the map in streaming because I know many people, especially those working in the music industry, that would pay more for high-quality music!

You can even get a 7 day free trial too!

I’m looking forward to hearing Tidal and I hope that everyone else is too!
