Rihanna makes record for most dance club #1’s!

Rihanna is an internationally famous pop artist and just this week…

…she surpassed Beyoncé for the second most dance club #1’s with 23

I was SO impressed when I read this! TWENTY THREE NUMBER ONES?! Is that even possible?!

Rihanna just got her 23rd dance club #1 to surpass Beyoncé who previously held the second place record with 22! I’m so surprised there could really be that many #1’s by one artist although I remember when Mariah Carey surpassed Elvis Presley for #1’s with her 18th! It’s real and it happens!

“Bitch Better Have My Money” became the 23rd #1 dance club hit for Rihanna since her first #1, “Pon De Replay” in 2005! That’s an unparalleled 10 year career if you ask me!

Rihanna is trailing Madonna which is understandable because…she’s Madonna for Heaven’s sake! Madge has 45 #1’s. I guess Billboard just knew that was unreachable but 2nd place deserves an honorable mention!

For your own recap, in order, here are Rihanna’s 23 #1’s:

  • “Pon De Replay”
  • “SOS”
  • “Unfaithful”
  • “We Ride”
  • “Umbrella” (feat. Jay-Z)
  • “Don’t Stop the Music”
  • “Shut Up and Drive”
  • “Disturbia”
  • “Russian Roulette”
  • “Hard” (feat. Jeezy)
  • “Rude Boy”
  • “Only Girl (In the World)”
  • “Who’s That Chick?” (David Guetta feat. Rihanna)
  • “S&M”
  • “California King Bed”
  • “We Found Love” (feat. Calvin Harris)
  • “You Da One”
  • “Where Have You Been”
  • “Diamonds”
  • “Right Now” (feat. David Guetta)
  • “What Now”
  • “Can’t Remember to Forget You” (Shakira feat. Rihanna)
  • “Bitch Better Have My Money”

I’ve got to say that my favorite #1 is “Don’t Stop the Music”. It’s fun, it references Michael Jackson’s “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin'”, and it’s about enjoying dancing with someone who loves you!

Rihanna, you did it again! Love you bunches and don’t stop the music!
