It’s not often when I think of music that Paris Hilton comes to mind…
…but today it’s totally relevant since she’s making serious bank as a DJ!
Paris has been on tour (yes you read that right!) ON TOUR all over the world as a DJ! She hasn’t been hitting up the festival circuit just yet, but she has been doing many solo shows at high-end nightclubs. Her tour just ended after a whopping 4 months on the road!
The $2.7 MILLION that she made in 4 days happened while she was working at Club Amnesia in everyone’s favorite party destination: Ibiza. I used to never know where Ibiza was up until a couple weeks ago when I asked a coworker who told me it was an island off the coast of Spain! HAHA I hadn’t taken the time to Google that, but I’m glad that I have now located Ibiza!

When Paris celebrated her global DJ tour, she spared no expense, including spending $230,000 on drinks for her and her friends! That’s one heck of a bar tab! PH reportedly bought 11 bottles each of Patron, Cristal, and Grey Goose. She also splurged on gold bottles of Ace of Spaces champagne…because she could! 😀

What does the tip for a $230,000 bar tab look like? Well apparently it was $47,000! Let’s just say that she made the bar staff at NYC’s Marquee very happy that night!
So how did Paris Hilton even begin DJing?! Apparently she made her debut as a DJ at the Pop Music Festival in Brazil in June 2012 after she spent time traveling the world and shadowing (observing) some really famous DJs!
Paris has a famous last name that we all recognize from the family that started Hilton Hotels, but not many people know that in 2007, her grandfather Barron donated 97% of his 2.3 billion dollar fortune to charity! Now certainly, Paris is not a pauper, but I just wanted to mention that she doesn’t have to be making night club appearances or DJing to support herself. Then she must really love it, right?!

Paris is quite the young business woman with an estimated net worth of $100 million at 33 years old! Now I get, I get…she came from money. That is true and even though Papa Barron gave away his billions, doesn’t mean that Paris hasn’t been conformed to a life a luxury since she was born. All I’m saying is that she is very overlooked as a business woman because of her last name.

She has made more than $1.3 billion in revenue from her fragrance line alone since 2005! She boasts 35 stores, 17 product lines, a racing team, 14 fragrances, and the Paris Hilton Beach Club. Now that’s a lot of branding and shall I just say it has to be way more than Kim Kardashian has even dreamed of.

Paris’ brands include handbags, clothing, shoes, sunglasses, pet products, stationary, and bedding! And as far as the Beach Club line goes…they built the first one in the Philippines which includes nightclubs, restaurants, bars, gyms, and more! To top it all off, Paris is opening 250 Paris Hilton stores that only carry her products! The plan is to open 200 in China and 50 in India! All I’m saying is that I’m thoroughly impressed by her brand and how important it is to her to expand it every year! It’s quite an accomplishment!

As far as the music goes, Paris made a little stint as a pop star with the debut album “Paris” in 2006 and she actually will go down in history for having the song of the summer that year with the hit “Stars Are Blind”. Everyone loves that song and is afraid to admit it! HAHA It’s the only guilty pleasure that everyone in the world shares! 😀

I’m interested in looking up Paris’ DJ sets and hearing what she’s got. Some curious person filmed her hands during a DJ set (she was mixing & everything!) and it turns out she’s actually amping up her skills all the time since everyone is watching!
I’ve never had anything against Paris and think of her as a business woman. She’s the queen of branding and she has done a great job of identifying her market as people who love nightlife…which seems to be a lot of people! I will admit that I laughed my butt off watching her and Nicole Richie’s antics on The Simple Life too!
Ah, the good ol’ days!
I wish Paris the best in her career and I hope that she will be taken seriously!
